MEET Mariana MaLYn aka That's So Mariana

Mariana MaLyn is a 7 1/2 year old dancer, model, actress, and influencer. She first started her career in modeling at the age of 2 in her birth town of Minneapolis, MN. In 2018 Mariana and her family moved to LA to push her career more. Since moving to LA, Mariana has been in LAFW, HBO’s Westworld, Fresh off The Boat, and Tigress of Freedom. She has also made her presence known in popular music videos like Afro B & French Montana’s “Joanna Remix,” Pentatonix & Whitney Houston’s “Do You Hear What I Hear,” and many more. Mariana is the daughter of rising star Tha Rift and also is an upcoming kid entrepreneur.

What have you been up to lately? Any new projects we should expect? I have been staying home and staying safe with my family lately. I am currently learning a new language (Korean). My new projects consist of YouTube videos, TikToks, and one other project that I can't speak on yet.

What are doing to stay creative and positive during the COVID-19 stay home rules? I've been into painting a lot lately and it makes me happy just doing it. Also, I've been exercising and staying physically active.

Who/What is your inspiration? My inspiration would have to be Jojo Siwa because she does all of the same things that I do.

What helps you to start your day? Doing a good Zumba or Hip Hop workout with my mom.

What musicians have you been listening to? I've been listening to Drake and Rosalia.

What is your favorite restaurant and why? I don't have a favorite restaurant but I love all Korean food, specifically Spicy Stir-Fried Octopus (Nakji-bokkeum)

What is something you must travel with? I have to travel with my unicorn headphones that I got from Claire's.

Aside from your career, what is your favorite hobby? I love cooking!

What's one FUN FACT that no one knows about you? I am 25% Liberian on my mom's side and I am about 35% Irish on my dad's side.

What advice do you have for those who would like to pursue a career in the entertainment industry? With every “No” there will always be a “Yes” waiting for you.
